I am Therese Brown, owner of Mariposa Med Aesthetics. For over 20 years, I've been working in the medical field as a nurse practitioner and certified midwife. You can read my medical bio and reviews here.  As a mom of three, I know how it feels to age and not feel your best. Which is why I am here! We offer safe injectables including neurotoxins (botox), fillers, IV Therapy, medical grade facials and PRF therapy!

Many people ask how I ended up in this line of work. First and foremost, I come from a long line of nurses in my family so helping people just comes naturally to me.  Through all my advanced training, I have had the opportunity to learn from both general and plastic surgeons which gave me a nice knowledge base of anatomy and physiology. I have also taken a lot of interest in skincare and beauty and always said if I wasn't delivering babies, I would be an aesthetician. I love making people feel and look their best. Ultimately, I decided to get into medical aesthetics because I had been having treatments for years and it always made me feel great.  I also had a very close friend who owned her own aesthetics business and she encouraged me and taught me so many skills. I still work as a nurse midwife at Southcoast Health and love what I do.

My husband James is a firefighter in Plymouth and my three children are in the Plymouth school system so it only made sense to open this business in the most beautiful location on the waterfront.  We are above the 1620 Wine Bar in the Village Landing Marketplace.

As a provider of  healthcare, I take my work really seriously.  It is so important that my clients trust me which is why I always start slow.  If a client isn't completely satisfied with their results, we can always add on more, but I never like to overdo it.  I am always happy to answer any questions you may have and I look forward to working with you and making you feel your best!
